Yeah I get that way about a lot of things. I think I miss my first car I paid for the most. My 1975 Vega GT. I loved that car very much. It was as indestructible as I was. I took in up to 4 wheeling trails high on the mountain goat trails. I drove it drown places only motorcycles and goats could get to. Places I would not even try to walk down. Climb with a rope maybe?

I blow the engine. And replaced it a few times. I hit a big rock in the road and cracked the oil pan and broke the fly wheel. The nuts holding the fly wheel in the automatic transmission it had originally for the factory fell out many times on me well on the highway. And I had the replace them many times cause the bolt holes were rip up. So they fell out a lot on me. And I had to replace or tighten them up a lot.

I raced that car into the ground and repaired it many times. I never had to put much into it. Most repairs were like $50 to $100 at most do to my dad's have accounts with 20% or more off at the auto parts places around here and the junkyards. Since I grow up playing hide n' go seak and tag with most the kids who own and run their parents junk yards around here now. I get some really good deals. A lot of things I got free.

But that car I put through hell. And it came out smoking, but still running. It always got me home safe. Even if I turned it off in the driveway and it set over night cooling down just to get up the next day and find the engine was melted to hot lava like slag inside. So I called it the the Bat out of Hell. But my uncle named it Suesy Q. God I loved the car. It was like my first love. And I have never love anything the same way sence. :)

That car was my Hobbes. A childhood friend I will never forget. We had many good times and a few bad times. But it was never boring when we were together.

Yeah I had a 1981 Turbo Charged Monte Carlo with a crimson red metal flake paint job once. It had a V6 that was was newly rebuilt for racing. The dealer was selling it for his mechanic who was the same age as me at the time. I test drove it and boy did it get up and go. Best $2600 I ever spent. Later I traded it for a 81 Camaro Z28. Biggest mistake I ever made in dealing cars. The Camaro was nice through.

It had power everything and T-Tops. And a smoke grey mental flake paint job with gloss coat finish. Even nice wide street racing tires and Chrome Rims. And a lot more horses under the hood. But it had less room and the T-tops leaked a lot. And it rains 90% the time here in Washington State. Luckily it was on the passenger side. So my friend James who was away cruising with me in the car got a shower every time I turned to corner. Not that he didn't need one anyway. But I should not of traded that car and keep it. That Monte Carlo was a nice smooth ride on the road.
